    Re: Sometimes baseportal page unavailable?

It happened a lot on Friday, hadn't noticed it before but unfortunately I had recommended that story to a web group so it got several hits and no one could access it. The data in the field was probably about 400k. I deleted that story since it was already on the author's home page and just link to it now. So I don't know how to check if there is still a problem or not.

Good to know that one field can hold a lot of data, though.

    Sometimes baseportal page unavailable?

Please check the "archive" on the web site I've listed. If you try to access "The Conspiracy Series" first, I get page not found. But, access "Dark Patches" first, then "The Conspiracy Series", it works.

"Conspiracy Series is a very long story contained in one database field. Perhaps this is the problem? Or is it truly a problem on my side (server speed, etc.).

      Input greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I tried it like you wrote and it works... You can store MBytes of text in one field, this isn't a problem...

Does it happen often? Or was it just one time?
