Pale skin often tanned from time spent outdoors riding, fishing, and hunting with Nim and Faeyra; she often jokes that she doesn't tan that well, it's just that all of her freckles grow closer together. She has curly dark hair that reaches past her waist and is often worn loose or braided into two long strips. Her eyes are pale blue. Personality: Exuberant and cheerful, with a flair for dramatics. She loves fashion and dressing up, but is also unafraid to get down and dirty if there's a good cause. While she is definitely a noblewoman, she's very independent and rarely needs (or expects) the household staff to assist her with daily tasks like getting dressed, dishing up meals, etc. and has even been known to cook delicious desserts for the entire household when she gets in the mood (she's absolutely horrid at cooking dinner, though, and her family has learned to run and hide when she states she's making the evening meal!). She has a strong bond with her niece, whom she has cared for and raised as her own daughter since the girl was three years old. She adores her wife and the two have been practically inseparable since they first met as girls at the Academy; their courtship was a slow and thoughtful one, and their marriage is extremely loving and strong because of this. Nim balances her out and keeps her stable, reigning her in when she gets too dramatic. Though Kallin loves her brother dearly, she's never quite forgiven him for abandoning Faeyra. Relationships: Kallin is the wife of Lady Nim RedSea and the aunt/adoptive mother of Lady Faeyra RedSea (Fennic); she also has an adopted ward, Gracelynn Everjoy (Renny). She has one older brother, Earl Nicholas RedSea, and was very close to Nicholas' late wife Manna. Career: Kallin runs the RedSea estates almost singlehandedly. She keeps track of finances, orders work, pays employees, etc. Other Info: It's very important to me that, if adopted, her relationship with Nim is played out as an extremely close, loving, and healthy relationship. Their relationship has been the foundation that Faeyra has built her entire life on and their constant love and support for her and each other has been a key part of her stable sense of self she has now.
