The Advantages of Phacoemulsification
Phacoemulsification, commonly referred to as ‘phaco’, is a type of cataract
surgery used to remove the clouded lens from the eye. During this procedure, an
ultrasonic probe is inserted into the eye and emits high-frequency sound waves
that break up and soften the lens. The softened lens material is then suctioned
traditional cataract surgery, resulting in faster recovery times and improved
