| Bio: | Deidre Elliott never lived east of the Mississippi until she moved to the mountains of North Carolina. Ask her about Tucson, Arizona or Boulder, Colorado or Guadalajara, Mexico, all places where she has lived. Her published work includes nonfiction in Getting Over the Color Green: Contemporary Environmental Literature of the Southwest, Hell's Half Mile: River Runners' Tales, 1001 Things Everyone Should Know about Women's History, and R.I.P.: The Complete Book of Death and Dying, among other publications. She received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. She is the faculty advisor for Nomad, WCU's literary magazine. |
