Interview Information / Experience: | the day started with the morning report by an intern. PD will ask medical questions and differential diagnosis..everyone was encouraged to participate including the interviewees..then half will go on tour and the other half of the interviewees will stay in the conference room. PD will discuss to those in the conference room about the program...there is free lunch.then in the afternoon, only had 1 interview with the PD or any faculties appointed to interview applicants. they already prepared 2 pages of questions to each candidate. asked about why IM, weaknesses and strengths, what do you mean by teamwork, what are your future plans,.....in summary they are looking for people who are nice and dedicated healers and not just for monetary gain...its a small community program with average teaching...no fellowship but can get fellowship if you work hard for it...rotation at MGH and Brigham and Women's Hospital. weakness is lack of research opportunities..expensive apartments ranging from 900-thousand for one bedroom...m not sure if they offer prematches..but i do know they sponsor H1. |
