Colophon:James De Mille was born in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1836. He taught Classics at Acadia University from 1860 to 1864 and then became Professor of English at Dalhousie, where he taught until his death in 1880. He is remembered for some thirty books ranging from adventure stories for boys to historic novels. Printed in the Dawson Room, School of Library Service, Killam Library, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Two hundred copies have been printed, of which one hundred (numbered) are for Wayzgoose 1983 and the remainder for general distribution. This is no. 39.
