Play Title:Bloody History
Runtime:11-30 minutes
Synopsis:Bloody History: two short comedies about the Sixteenth century Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Bathory, AKA the Blood Countess, allegedly tortured and murdered up to 600 girls, then bathed in their blood to maintain her own youth and beauty. Modern day scholars suggest the Bathory legend is pure fiction; trumped up by those coveting her land and wealth. Was Bathory history's most prolific serial killer or was she victim of a Royal conspiracy? Or both?
Part I, Three Ghosts of Elizabeth Bathory, depicts Bathory's ghost attempting to revamp her reputation by persuading apathetic high school senior Mina to rewrite a term paper. Part II, Hungary Hearts, joins Elizabeth and her paramour, Ironhead Steve, for a romantic dinner featuring a terrified maid, mysterious blood curdling screams, and several severed limbs. Y'know - the usual.
