Synopsis:A cynical woman commits suicide, and on entering the afterlife incurs a man who must interview her before she can proceed to another place. She confronts her life, her choices, and the consequences. The man has a vested interest in ensuring she completes the interview.

The play's title comes from the indirect relationship of the play to Frank Capra's acclaimed movie, It's A Wonderful Life, bittersweet yet life affirming. The themes in "Frank Capra Gets His Wings" include the pain of childhood and the fear of having children.
