After years of turmoil involving the raising of the child including the child's total rebellion that led to narcotic addiction, criminal and street life, the parent comes to accept the reality that as a parent, undergoing a sort of spiritual hypnosis to erase all memories of the child will lead to renewal. At once liberated from guilt, the parent turns to supernatural theories to understand why they became a channel to bring a "monster" into the world.
