Synopsis: | an older woman, Ava, who lives in a retirement community; her recently-divorced daughter, Suzanne, is currently living with her, and Suzanne's eighteen year old daughter, Molly, is coming to visit on her way to Vassar. Tensions are running high, as Molly has left a message that she has a big announcement to make; Suzanne is terrified that the announcement is going to be that she's about to become a thirty-eight year old grandmother. Tensions rise even higher, when Buddy McKinley moves in down the block. Long ago, Buddy was Ava's husband's, James' partner in O'Shenanigans, an Irish pub, and who was blamed for the loss of the pub for serving liquor to underaged girls. Ava claims that event killed her husband's spirit, and even after her husband's death, has never forgiven Buddy. When Molly arrives, due to a little digging, Suzanne is able to discover that Buddy was not, in fact, the guilty party; he took the fall for James, because he knew it would break Ava's heart; by this realization, Suzanne discovers that Buddy has been in love with Ava all along....but she just blanking hates him. And when Molly, and her "little friend Brandon", as Ava calls him, show up to make their big announcment, which is not that she's pregnant, but that she's gay, it takes the entire crew to help everyone accept everyone for just who they are....and forgive them for things they aren't.
