A 1980’s romantic comedy about Marla, a recently divorced, destitute college graduate who returns to her dysfunctional childhood home, and gains employment as a waitress in a character theme restaurant. Marla creates her alter ego, Billy Jean, Armadillo Queen, who is a gregarious Southern diner waitress and Armadillo Queen who helps Marla reach her personal and financial goals.
