Synopsis:
A 1980’s romantic comedy about Marla, a recently divorced, destitute college graduate who returns to her dysfunctional childhood home, and gains employment as a waitress in a character theme restaurant. Her alter ego Billy Jean, Armadillo Queen, is a gregarious Southern diner waitress and Armadillo Queen who helps Marla to reach her personal and financial goals.

Creating havoc along the way are jealous character waiters, her soul mate’s girlfriend, and an evil spirit. Encouraging Marla are other character waiters, her soul mate, and a guardian angel. This play has several of strong characters,both female and male.
