Play Title:Sister OutLaw
Runtime:61-90 minutes
Synopsis:“Sister OutLaw” is a playful interrogation of the US immigration process that systematically excludes same-sex partnerships. It is the story of Marina, a Filipina cultural worker who comes to the country to visit her best friend Joey, and ends up falling in love with her. Joey, a recent immigrant to the US, is not out to her family but is forced to ask her US-born brother to marry Marina. The clueless Jason agrees to the pre-arranged marriage for a fee, but decides to woo the woman for real when he gets to know her better. Insecurities and egos surface and collide, and what happens is a merry mix-up that makes for a good and sexy comedy-drama.
