Play Title:Case 476, A/B
Runtime:11-30 minutes
Synopsis:ASTER waits at a crossroad for the two cases he has been given the task of resolving. He has been advised to "play them off one another," although he insists that this is not his style. First to arrive is RIGEL, a practical woman with a suppressed but inspired imagination for stories. Aster manages to convince her to stay until RION arrives, but when Aster's insistent prodding about the level of contentedness in Rion's life pushes the latter to argue for his convictions about the importance of responsibility and contributing to society first and foremost, it is Rigel's hesitantly shared tale about her experience walking her neighbor's dog that finally propels Rion to make a choice. It also reveals to Rigel the choice she needs to make, and Aster departs, realizing that his work here is complete.
