Play Title:Screaming in the Wilderness
Runtime:91-120 minutes
Synopsis:Screaming in the Wilderness is a comic drama about a woman looking for God. A young priest (from a fictitious religion) who might lead her to exactly what she’s looking for comes forward, but her life experiences make her suspicious of him. She uses her TV news journalist position to spy on him and discredit him. She does this despite the fact that she promised her step-father (played by a woman) that she is dedicated to bringing truth and non-sensationalism to TV journalism. At the same time, the Church led by Arch Duke Harrison Fuller (played by a woman) and Sub Regent Gerald Dillaway (played by a man) plot to use the young priest to build up church revenues. The play moves in and out of conscious and unconscious dimensions.
