The Golden Filly series is about a young highschool girl who adores horses and seems to have a special touch with them. The family business has been raising horses, but now her father has cancer and is ill all the time. Trish is taking on alot of the responsibility, much to her mom's dismay. Throughout the series, Trish competes in higher and higher levels of races as her dad gets worse and worse. Trish has to continually battle with trusting God in the midst of trials and has to constantly work on obeying and respecting her mom who is terrified of Trish's racing.
