The Golden Filly series is about a young highschool girl who adores horses and seems to have a special touch with them. The family business has been raising horses, but now her father has cancer and is ill all the time. Trish is taking on alot of the responsibility, much to her mom's dismay. Throughout the series, Trish competes in higher and higher levels of races as her dad gets worse and worse.
