Sean has no problem being a Christian. But he's not sure he wants everyone else to know that. Being seen carrying a Bible down the street on your way to youth group might hurt one's popularity a bit. When BloodHounds INC. gets a chance to work on solving a mystery in Washington D.C. Sean learns a valuable lesson from a random weirdo passing out tracts at the hotel. | Extra Notes: | Once again the kids are in the midst of a crazy mystery. Once again, what people blame on ghosts turns out to have a logical explanation. Bill Myers does two kinds of books dealing with ghosts. The younger kids books like BloodHounds INC. show that most "ghosts" are just misunderstandings or technology deceptions. His older books like the Forbidden Doors series deals with demons, a being that has the ability to masquerade as the commonly believed image of a ghost or human who has died. Both show that ghosts are not real, but whereas the books for older audiences do address the supernatural, the younger books are more lighthearted, dealing with humans rather than the supernatural. | Reviewer: | J:-)mi | Recommendation Scale: | 4 |
