This database is made possible by voluntary participation of solar electric system owners like you. With the Focus Solar platform users can check their PV system performance and compare the results with others. The service is based on the national weather satellite GOES which takes on the role of being the neutral observer looking down on solar installations all over America. The effects of location, size, orientation, and local weather influences are accounted for and what remains is a measurement of performance.

In a joint initiative of Focus Solar and the solar community we can bring transparency to the PV market. The database lists performance ratios (in short PR) of real-world PV systems. You can search this database for ZIP codes, installers, module and inverter brands, and look for the respective performance numbers. Remember this is a community effort - the information is as good as the input that was submitted by our users.
