At the age of 18 years you get right to vote in all government elections.

A voter must advocate his right to vote for only such contestant whom he finds worthy to be elected.

In case a voter does not find any sutitable candidate from those who have stood for elections, there must be provision to register NO VOTE i.e. none could be found worthy of being elected.

If this is done then only the sanctity of election can be preserved, and lessons learnt for taking remedial measures, in future elections.

Hence in Indian elections, there must be a separate provision for NO VOTE- and the same should also be considered as a separate entity, in case the no. of NO VOTES exceed the maximum number of votes received by any contestant. In such eventuality, the elections should be conducted once again inviting fresh applicatns to stand for elections.

Suitable provision must be made in the Electronic Voting machine, to register for NO VOTE i.e. I would not like to vote for any of the above contestants.

Thus we can know in true spirit, the likes and dislikes of the voteres.

In our great democracy, we must respect the opinion of each and every voter, and give due consideration to their feelings. Only then we can enjoy the true fruits of being a Democratic country – world’s 2^nd largest democracy.

ભારતમાં થતી ચૂટણીઓમાં મતદાતાને મત આપવાનો અધિકાર ૧૮મે વર્ષે મળી જાય છે.

પોતાના “મત” નો ઉપયોગ યોગ્ય ઉમેદવારને પસંદ કરવા માટે જ કરવાનો અધિકાર મતદારને મળ્યો છે.

ચૂંટણી લડી રહેલા પૈકી એક પણ ઉમેદવાર મતદાતાને યોગ્ય ન લાગે તેવા સંજોગમાં મતદાતાનો મત - “નો વોટ / [no vote]” તરીકે રજીસ્ટર થવો જોઇએ.

તો જ સાચા અર્થમાં પ્રત્યેક મતદાતાએ કરેલ મતદાનનો અર્થ સાર્થક થાય.

માટે ભારતિય ચૂંટણી પ્રક્રિયામાં મતદારને યોગ્ય ઉમેદવારની તરફેણમાં મતદાન કરવાના અધિકાર સાથે સાથે, ચૂંટણી લડી રહેલા બધા જ ઉમેદવારો અયોગ્ય લાગતા હોય ત્યારે - “નો વોટ / [no vote]” નો મત આપવાની સગવડ / અધિકાર મળવા જોઇએ.

આ માટે ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક વોટીંગ મશીન પર જેમ પ્રત્યેક ઉમેદવારના નામ અને નિશાન સામે તેની તરફેણમાં મત આપવા માટે બટન હોય છે તેવી જ રીતે તમામ ઉમેદવારોના લીસ્ટની નીચે એક વધારાનું બટન ” ઉપરનાઓમાંથી કોઇ નહી” ની તરફેણમાં હોવું જોઇએ.

જેથી સાચા અર્થમાં લોકમત દ્વારા ખબર પડશે કે મતદાતાની પસંદ-નાપસંદ શું છે.

લોકશાહીમાં પ્રત્યેક નાગરીકના પવિત્ર મતને ગણત્રીમાં લાવી શકાશે.
