Willis, did I miss something on the agenda? There doesn't appear to be need for anyone to reach out to the black community. This is a rhetorical question for you, Willis, but I would like some answers from the Black Chamber of Commerce and black City Councilpersons and candidates. Off the top of my head, on average, there should be an item 39. for $ 45,943 authorizing a contract with the Greater Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce to provide a Community Outreach Liaison Program... You can bet the East Texas farm I will be there to see whether these items are approved and how the black City Council Members vote. Blacks need a strong-voice and presence in City Hall. The mayor, strong or not, will take care of him/herself. Ed

| Did you know ??? | 4/26/2005 | Did you know that when you envy someone, it's because you really like that person?
Did you know that those who appear to be very strong in heart, are real weak and most susceptible?
Did you know that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones that really need some one to protect them?
Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are :
I love you, Sorry, and help me
The people who say these are actually in need of them or really feel them, and are the ones you really need to treasure, because they have said them.
Did you know that people who occupy themselves by keeping others company or helping others are the ones that actually need your company and help?
Did you know that those who dress in red are more confident in themselves?
Did you know that those who dress in yellow are those that enjoy their beauty?
Did you know that those who dress in black, are those who want to be unnoticed and need your help and understanding?
Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds?
Did you know that those who need more of you are those that don't mention it to you?
Did you know that it's easier to say what you feel in writing than saying it to someone in the face? But did you know that it has more value when you say it to their face?
Did you know that what is most difficult for you to say or do is Much more valuable than anything that is valuable that you can buy with money?
Did you know that if you ask for something in faith, your wishes are granted?
Did you know that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith, and if you really knew, you'd be surprised by what you could do.
But don't believe everything I tell you, until you try it for yourself , if you know someone that is in need of something that I mentioned, and you Know that you can help, you'll see that it will be returned in two-fold .. DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON ME???... AT THE MOMENT, TIME AND PLACE THAT YOU NEED ME, CALL ME, I WILL BE THERE WITH YOU !!!!! | |
| HONEY OR VINEGAR | 4/26/2005 | The preacher placed two identical jars on the table next to thepulpit. He quoted 1 Samuel 16:7 The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. "These jars came from the same factory, were made of the same materials, and can hold the same amount. But they are different," he explained.
Then he upset one and it oozed out honey. He turned over the other, and vinegar spilled out.
"When a jar is upset, whatever is in it comes out. Until the jars were upset, they looked alike. The difference was within and could not be seen. When they were upset, their contents were revealed. Until we are upset, we put on a good front. But when we are upset, we reveal our innermost thoughts and attitudes, 'for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.'" {Luke 6:45}
What if someone tipped you over today?
What would flow out??
Would you reveal the "honey" of grace and patience???
Or the "vinegar" of anger and criticism???
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." { 1 Peter 4:8 } Have a terrific day knowing that the one who upsets you may be just looking to see what is going to flow out of you and always know that... GOD LOVES YOU

| I learned from Noah's Ark | 3/26/2005 | Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark One: Don't miss the boat. Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat. Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark. Four: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big. Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done. Six: Build your future on high ground. Seven: For safety's sake, travel in pairs. Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs. Nine: When you're stressed, float a while. Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals. Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting | unk |

| Today, when I awoke | 3/19/2005 | Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever
There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today;but I did! And because I did I'm going to celebrate! Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.
I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart. I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew,
the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds.
Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know. Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!
I NEEDED TO RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE TODAY!
Do you know of others who might be waiting to receive it from you?

| You Can | 3/14/2005 | When You Believe You Can, You Can
What you impress upon your mind, you inevitably become. It is a psychological law that whatever you desire to accomplish you must first impress upon your subconscious mind.
Your inner thoughts, can cause you to be rich or poor, loved or unloved, happy or unhappy, attractive or unattractive, powerful or weak.
Relentless, repetitive self talk is what changes your self image. You affect your subconscious mind with verbal repetition. Constant repetition carries conviction.
When you change your values you change your behavior. Start thinking of yourself as becoming the person you want to be. Self-suggestion makes you master of yourself.
What you conceive yourself to be, you become.

| church | 3/9/2005 | DEAR WILLIS. I HAVE JUST RECENTLY RECIEVED MY MINSTER LICENSE. AND I MUST TELL YOU THAT I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT THE WAY PREACHERS ARE CONFUSING THE FLOCK WITH MAN MADE DOCTRINE. THE USE SCRIPTURE TO FLEECE THE UNKNOWING MEMBERS OF THEIR CONGREGATION. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU DONT GIVE TEN PER CENT OF YOUR EARNINGS YOU WILL BE CURSED. MAL.THIS IS NOT WHAT IS MEANT BY THIS SCRIPTURE. I KNOW OF A CHURCH WHERE THE MEMBERS ARE SO CONFUSED THAT THE ONLY THING THEY KNOW IS WHAT THE PASTOR SAYS. RECENTLY THEY NEEDED MONEY TO PAY THE LIGHT BILL AND THEY BEGGED THE MEMBERS FOR IT. NOW THIS WOULD NOT BE SO BAD BUT THEY PLAN TO HAVE A PASTORS APPRECIATION AND GIVE THE PASTOR TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.THEY COLLECT MONEY IN THE REGULAR TITHES AND OFFERING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO PAY THE BILLS. THEY THEN TELL EACH MEMBER WHAT THEY ARE EXPECTED TO GIVE ON THE APPRECIATION. MY QUESTION IS WHY CANT THEY TAKE SOME OF THIS MONEY AND PAY THE LIGHT BILL.IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY. THE PASTOR AND HIS FAMILY HANDELS ALL OF THE MONEY THAT IS COLLECTED. NOW IS THIS RIGHT? I DONT THINK SO.JUST THOUGHT I WOULD THROW THIS OUT THERE IN HOPES THAT THE PUBLIC WILL WAKE UP AND SEARCH FOR THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT TITHES AND OFFERINGS IN THE CHURCH. | Five (5) lessons | 2/25/2005 | Five (5) lessons to make you think about the way we treat people from www.willisdacrooner.com
1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.
During my second month of college, our professor
gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student
and had breezed through the questions until I read
the last one:
"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the
cleaning woman several times. She was tall,
dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?
I handed in my paper, leaving the last question
blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if
the last question would count toward our quiz grade.
"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers,
you will meet many people. All are significant. They
deserve your attention and care, even if all you do
is smile and say "hello."
I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her
name was Dorothy.
2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American
woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway
trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had
broken down and she desperately needed a ride.
Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.
A young white man stopped to help her, generally
unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man
took her to safety, helped her get assistance, and
put her into a taxicab.
She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his
address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a
knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a
giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A
special note was attached..
It read:
"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway
the other night. The rain drenched not only my
clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along.
Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying
husband's bedside just before he passed away... God
bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving
others."
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole.
3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those
who serve.
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less,
a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and
sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in
front of him.
"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.
"Fifty cents," replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and
studied the coins in it.
"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.
By now more people were waiting for a table and the
waitress was growing impatient.
"Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.
The little boy again counted his coins.
"I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on
the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice
cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress
came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the
table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish,
were two nickels and five pennies..
You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had
to have enough left to leave her a tip.
4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a
roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if
anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the
king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by
and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the
King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did
anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of
vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the
peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the
stone to the side of the road. After much pushing
and straining, he finally succeeded. After the
peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed
a purse lying in the road where the boulder had
been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note
from the King indicating that the gold was for the
person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The
peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve
our condition.
5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a
hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who
was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only
chance of recovery appeared to be a blood
transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had
miraculously survived the same disease and had
developed the antibodies needed to combat the
illness. The doctor explained the situation to her
little brother, and asked the little boy if he would
be willing to give his blood to his sister.
I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a
deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will
save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in
bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did,
seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his
face grew pale and his smile faded.
He looked up at the doctor and asked with a
trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away".
Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the
doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his
sister all of his blood in order to save her.
Now you have 3 choices.
1. Delete this email,
2. Send people to www.willisdacrooner.com and read this in our "Positive Words" section or
2. Forward it to people you care about.
I hope that you will choose No. 2 or 3 and remember.
Most importantly.................. "Work like you don't need the money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like you do when nobody's watching."
NOW more than ever - Peace...Pass It On.....

| The Ten Principles of Conscious Creation: | 1/28/2005 | The Ten Principles of Conscious Creation: What Are They?
The Ten Principles of Conscious Creation are powerful tools of awakening that, when studied and practiced, allow you to create the life you truly desire. In short, "you can have it all." Each Principle is a key to unlocking higher levels of conscious awareness and tapping into your own powers of creation.
One
Truth Truth is the essence of Love from which all reality extends and the basis of your light on Earth. The integrity of thought, word and deed that creates the freedom to be who you truly are. Truth is the foundation of the other nine Principles.
Two
Trust Trust is an inner knowing which comes from the Truth that you are part of the Creator and connected to all levels of reality. The understanding that everything in your life unfolds in perfection.
Three
Passion Passion is the core energy by which you feel the presence of your own Creator light. Passion is the realization that you are a limitless being of light and is the force that allows your life journey to continually evolve.
Four
Clarity In its simplest form, Clarity is the acknowledgement that your physical self is part of a greater, non-physical power.
Five
Communication Communication is the exchange of energies and information (including words) between humans, between your physical self and the essential or higher self, and between you and the unseen forces of light.
Six
Completion Completion is the knowing that the conclusion of an experience, a process or a journey exists on multiple levels of understanding and opens to the beginning of a new experience, process or journey.
Seven
Prayer Prayer is the communication between your human self and your higher self, the Creator, and other unseen forces of light. It is an opportunity for you to define the life journey that you truly desire. In Kiraelšs words, "Prayer is the asking; meditation is the hearing" of the answers to your prayers.
Eight
Meditation The practice of quieting your mind such that you are able to consciously receive information, wisdom and guidance. In Kiraelšs words, "Prayer is the asking; meditation is the hearing" of the answers to your prayers
Nine
Sleepstate Programming Sleepstate Programming is the practice of enlisting your own higher self, or essential light, to contact and communicate with the higher self of another during the sleep state.
Ten
Masterminding Masterminding is the act of creating a collective consciousness focused on manifesting a particular experience or outcome. This collective consciousness can be comprised of physical humans, human essential selves, angels, guides and other unseen forces of light.
These Principles are magically interrelated in many ways: "The Three Keys" Truth Trust Passion
* Anchoring the love of the Creator within the Self * At the root of all the other Principles * The basis upon which the spirit self prepares for an evolutionary human journey * Keys to increasing your conscious awareness
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The Three Cšs" Clarity Communication Completion
* The experience of being human * Guiding our thoughts and actions in our daily lives * Determining the quality of experiencing any act of creation * Keys to increasing your conscious awareness
"The Four Pillars" Prayer Meditation Sleepstate Programming Masterminding
* Practical ways of creating in a conscious fashion * Practices that help you to manifest your dreams and heartfelt desires * The realm you work within once you realize that you are so much more than merely human (i.e., you are a multi-dimensional free spirit having a human experience) | Unknown |
| God's Boxes | 1/9/2005 | I have in my hands two boxes
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold."
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I stored.
But though the gold became heavier each day
The black was as light as before.
With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.
I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be."
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me."
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold, and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your
blessings, The black is for you to let go!"
We should consider all of our friends a blessing.

| God counts her tears | 11/27/2004 | "Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on.
