    How to prevent duplication of record entry?


      How to prevent duplication of record entry? I mean if entering a "name" of a person in a database, how to have a message saying for example " This name has been entered before".

      insert following code on the top

      <perl>
      if(%_put){
      get "name==$_put{name}","databasename";
      if($_amount){
      out "This name has been entered before";
      undef %_put;
         $_get{cmd}="";

      }
      }
      </perl>
