Called TW yesteday afternoon asking if the port is active. After getting to the 3rd teir support they said absolutely not. Bullcrap!!!

1. Unplugged cable box
2. Connected cables
3. Powered up HD
4. Powered up cable box.... no "format message".
5. Disconnected SATA cable... got a message to plug the HD back in.
6. Plugged the SATA cable back in... "format message" appeared.
7. Formatted the HD
8. Soft-booted the cable box
9. New capacity now recognized by Passport

Thank yo very much to this website. Until I found this info I though this would not be possible.
