I initially tried a WD My Book 1TB that I bought at Costco. It had an eSATA interface, but after reading other entries, I think it must not have been SATA under the covers because it would not work. I repeatedly got Bad Drive error messages. WD won't tell you what is under the covers except to say that it can be SATA or EIDE. So, if you want to chance it and flip a coin as to what you might get, then buy a WD. As for me, I won't again.

So I bought the Apricorn which came with the eSATA cable (other did not) and I had it up and running in 5 minutes and my % full dropped down to 4% from 53%. It is quiet, 1 small light that doesn't bother me and it was a dream to set up.
