Over the winter
we worked hard to redo the Tunnel Rat truck and are very pleased with the way that it looks and are awaiting the "test and tune" night at Cuba City, Wisc. to see if the rat truck will pull as good as it looks. The new Tunnel Rat truck is a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. She still sports the bright orange paint. However, this year the letters have a tinge of green, which really dresses her up.I would like to thank D.J. Sullivan and family for all of their hard work. We spent seventeen days, totalling over 700 man-hours. The Sullivans were great hosts, letting me camp at their house for the duration of the reconstruction. Carla Sullivan did a masterful job painting the truck and all of its new components. This year, the Tunnel Rat truck has air brushed graphics instead of decals. D.J. and Carla Sullivan are owners of The Borrowed Parts pulling team. They also have a very nice pulling truck. If you see the Borrowed Parts in your community, be sure to tell them thanks for all the help.
This year we have two motors ready to go, both 532 cu. in. Chevrolet rat motors, putting out a little more than 900 horsepower and nearing 800 ft. lbs. of torque. So, things are looking good for the Tunnel Rat pulling team for 2004.
