| Bull Riding, Bull Fighting, Wild Cow Riding and Country Music! |
It was a night of family entertainment from the first song by Megan Sickles to the last bull of the Championship Round. Over 3000 spectators enjoyed Iowa's own Megan Sickles as she added the spice of country music to the Extreme Bullriding Toour at this year's Montgomery County Fair. The crowd enjoyed this special concert along with watching several local favorites try their luck at Wild Cow Riding. This annual attraction always brings tons of laughter and applause as even riding cows proves what it takes to ride the rough and tough bulls of Double S Bull company! The riders of the NFPB and the BOA did their best and even though several rides came close to the 8 Second buzzer only five men were able to score successful rides and make it to the Championship Round. The bulls were totally the victors in the Championship Round with no successful rides! Jimmy Twedt took home the Championship with an 81 point score for an $870.21 paycheck and the lead in the standings for 2006.
Freestyle of Mexican Bullfighting is growing in popularity and for the second year was a part of the Montgomery Fair. Shad Smith of Double S Bull Company provided the Mexican fighting bulls and the Midwest Bullfighters Association provided the bullfighters. This year the contestants came from Ohio, Missouri, as well as Iowa. Wade Koonz was the victor with a score of 84 points. He took home not only a paycheck for $360 but will also receive a Frontier Trophy Buckle complements of association sponsor, Frontier Trophy Buckles. |
