| 60th Annual Scotia Homecoming A Roaring Success |

Scotia, Nebraska with a population of approximately 300 people grew to over 3000 on Saturday, June 3rd when the Extreme Bullriding Tour came to town. The days activities began at 10 AM with the parade. Tour producer, Todd Crase, was honored to serve as a judge for the parade. The parade was followed by a free will offering Pancake Feed. The committee served pancakes until 2:00 PM. Rodeo Attitude member TJ Party Rentals were on hand with nine different inflatable games for the entertainment of young and old alike. No cowboy ever leaves Scotia hungry and this year was no exception. Barbequed brisket sandwiches were served to all the personnel and the riders. Rodeo Attitude was very well represented in the personnel. There was award-winning announcer, Blaine Partridge, working his magic with his long time friend and 19 times Funnyman of the Year, Shawn "Boom Boom" Thompson. If these two didn't tickle you funnybone, you weren't paying attention. Shawn joined Colby Crase, one of our youth board members and son of producer Todd Crase, in a hilarious trampoline act that ended with Colby giving the audience an example of the skills that has earned him Elite status in the world of competition gymnastics. Cowboy protection was provided also provided by members of the Rodeo Attitude Program. Chris "Chili" Lewis has been selected five times to protect the riders at the NFPB Federation Finals. He was joined by what at one time was one of our youngest members who has grown into an outstanding bullfighter, Brandon Lindsey. Jimmy Twedt has been a part of our team for many years and has proven time and time again he is a top rider. He did so again when he was the only man to cover both of his bulls. He not only went home with the championship and the Frontier Trophy Buckle but won for Grace M Coufal the annual calcutta and $1400! The The bullriding was sanctioned by both the Bullriders of America and the National Federation of Professional Bullriders, both member associations. Bullfighters from several states had vied for the coveted four man field in the Midwest Bullfighters Association freestyle bullfighting competition that was a part of the nights entertainment. Toby Inman, was won the competition with a score of 83. Several of the bullfightes as well as the Midwest Bullfighters Association itself are also members of the Rodeo Attitude Program. It is also with great pride that we are the overall presenting sponsor of the Extreme Bullriding Tour and therefore, present the autograph session after each event. A big hit at Scotia was Abby McDonald 2006 Extreme Bull Riding Tour Princess. Abby lives in Nebraska and will be attending as many events as she can this year. The competition was over but notthe evening was still young. A dance was held by the committee at Monties Bar with Jim Rice and his band performing. All of the cowboys and the production crew were once again the guests of the committee and a great time was had by all. Scotia was one of the first committees to join our program. This was there 8th Annual Extreme Bullriding and they have always used as many of our members and sponsors as possible. The first year we were excited with a crowd of approximately 800. This year they exceeded 3000. Just an example of what a hard working committee can do when the entertinment they are providing is top notch. we congratulate them on another successful event! |
