After an array of showers hit much of Oklahoma and Texas this past week, pullers and fans alike were anxious to hear the engines roar and the black smoke roll. Despite the uncertainty of what mother nature had in mind for this fourth of July weekend, Whitewright had perfect weather for three nights of pulling power. The Thursday night session kicked off with Pro Stock four wheel drive trucks on the East side and Modified pullers showing off their horsepower to fans on the West Side. Several veteran drivers from the Lone Star state held the upper hand with years of pulling experience at Whitewright.
