Rex started out in rodeo as a bareback and bullrider. Competing from 1972 through 1982. Although he was not activity competing anymore he never lost his love for the sport and in 1996 he became a rodeo announcer.
Since that time he has announced the Pony Express "Ride With Pride" every year since 1999 and has been consistenly selected by the Iowa Rodeo Association Finals Co-Announcer since 1999 as well as a mainstay at the National Federation of Professional Bullriders Finals. He is the current Marketing Director for both the IRA and the NFPB. |
