Bret lives in Knoxville, Iowa, and comes from a family strong in rodeo tradition.
Bret started riding bulls in High School in 1989 thru 1991.
In 1992 he started fighting bulls. Bret is a member of several associations and the respect the riders have for him is exemplified in the fact that he has received 16 Bullfighter of the Year Awards.
In 2003 Bret co-founded the new bullfighting association the Midwest Bullfighting Association. In their premier year they will sanction several completive bullfights in 2003.
Bret is on the Board of directors of the Bull Riders of American.
Traveling with his wife, Tracy Pettyjohn and his son seven-year old son, Garret , Bret will be at over 40 shows in 2003. Garret is making his own name this summer as a premier "SHEEP FIGHTER", following in his fathers foot steps.
Bret is one of the earliest members of the Rodeo Attitude Program and is always makes himself available at events to give autographs and meet with bull riding and rodeo fans. |
