These 8/23/2008 settings are updated from my settings dated 11/30/2007, and were confirmed by a repeat "Aqua" test on several occasions prior to 12/15/2008.

These settings again start with the David Katzmaier 12/13/2007 CNET Review and his ISF calibration settings and again use the "Miami Dolphins Aqua Test" to determine proper "Aqua" color processing.

The new, 8/23/2008 settings reduce the CNET calibrated Green-Whitepoint (G-WP) setting from (97) to (90) and raise the CNET calibrated Blue-Whitepoint (B-WP) setting from (55) to (65). These new settings are an attempt to come closer to the 6,500K calibrated grayscale standard than my prior 11/30/2007 settings would likely produce, with improved true "Aqua" reproduction.

My original 11/30/07 color temperature settings had retained the CNET (G-WP) setting of (97) and had raised the B-WP) setting from (55) to (85). While these settings produced proper "Aqua" reproduction using "Miami Dolphins Aqua" as a visual reference color, color temperature throughout the grayscale would have been elevated from the 6,500K whitepoint standard.

The new 8/23/2008 color temperature settings, as re-confirmed on and after 10/14/2008, also produced proper "Aqua" reproduction, but should track much closed to the 6,500K grayscale standard measured by the CNET calibration, while acknowledging that each TV may have some degree of calibration variability.

The "Miami Dolphins Aqua Test," uses live broadcast Miami Dolphins "Aqua" as a reference color to visually analyze Aqua color reproduction. This test required that the CNET calibrated Green-Whitepoint (G-WP) setting be reduced from (97) to (90) and CNET calibrated Blue-Whitepoint (B-WP) setting was raised from (55) to (65).
