Dear Friends,

The year is finally coming to an end. I know most of you have been wondering about your shootouts for our finals. We have taken the time to provide you with your shootouts along with your partners phone number. The shootout on Dec. 8th is pre-entry only so you must have your entry form postmarked by Nov 22. You will find the entry form in your Superlooper or in your Ropers News. If your partner does not come then we will draw you a run for your shootout position. Please do not send money for your partner if you are not sure if he is coming. Check with him first. We will match everything up in the office here. So if you send your money and your partner sends in his then you will be matched up and again if he does not send in his money then we will draw you a run. If you would like to pay for you and your partner then check with him first. Also do not forget your ˝ of a shootout that you received with your membership! You just have to find another member that has not used his and you may put them together. Please note on your entry form which it is your ˝ of a shootout from your membership.

But of course the year is not over! We still have two AATRC ropings left this year. First, will be Monroe, La Nov. 9th and 10th and the following weekend we will be in Claremore, Ok (Nov. 16th and 17th). Make plans so you can get more shootouts!!

Also if you placed in the top 10 of any of our ropings this year (including Fear Not ropings) then you are qualified to rope in the sponsors challenge. This will be a great roping you will not want to miss. The fees are $75 per roper. We will be giving 2 Running P Saddles, 2 Hy-o-Silver buckles, 6 Running P breastcollars and CASH! Please note this is also a pr-entry with the same date of Nov.22 to be postmarked by.

Don?t forget A preliminary will be held Dec 6th & 7th. So if you would like to win a few more spots to win that guaranteed $30,000, 2 saddles and other prizes for the first place team then you will want to make our preliminary. Enter on site Dec 6th (Friday). Dec 7th (Saturday) is a pre-entry, you must call the Monday before starting at 7:00 am to get pre-entered. The numbers are 580-653-2467 or 580-653-2303. We will take the top 10% from the preliminary over the finals that will be held on the next day. Last years finals was great and we are looking for an even better one this year. Rickey Green will be at out finals this year conducting mini clinics throughout the weekend along with church service. You will be blessed!!
Oct. 5th & 6th was our last roping. It was a Fear Not Productions roping held at Ardmore Ok. Every year we have a memorial on the first weekend in Oct. in memory of Levi Lusk. Levi was Buddy?s cousin that was murder on Oct 7th 1999 by his girlfriend. We take this time to celebrate Levi?s life on this earth and also to remember he is in the presence of our most high God! This is a very special roping. Levi?s mom uses the proceeds go to a scholarship in his name to help kids from his hometown afford to go to college. Several of them would have been in a financial bind if it had not been for the scholarship, so we are delighted to be part of this! The roping was held at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore, Ok. This roping was a #6 pt capped at a #3 progressive on 1. Being progressive on 1 the times were not as tough on three as we are used to. Winning the roping went to Dale Wilkins & Randall Norman with a 42.40 on 4. These guys came from the 13th call back position to win the roping. Only 1 team out of the top 12 caught and they legged! 2nd place (which also won saddles) went to Mitch Waters and Harold McClendon with a 45.30 on 4. Harold and Mitch were the 18th call back and roped a clean run of 9.52 to end up holding 2nd. In the kids Jakesteer roping first in the 5 and under went to Brady Norman, 2nd was Carter Gurrola. In the 6-9 division Colby Norman won the 1st place Hy-O-Silver buckle and  Kolby Miller won the second place receiving a Cactus rope. In the oldest age group (10-12) Cooper Bruce won 1st and Dusty Norman won 2nd. Congratulation to all the winners!
