Dear Ropers,
Hope this newsletter is finding everyone doing and roping well! This is for the month of April and spring is in the air! Aren’t you glad winter is over. I sure am. We are ready for rodeos, ropings and everything else the good weather brings! Our last roping was in the fabulous town of Tunica. This expo is one of the nicest around and the guys are great there. We appreciate all their good southern hospitality. We changed our #10 pt there to taking 300 teams and it filled up nicely. Which allowed for it to pay nicely too. Winners were Shawn Smith and Gaylon Massingill with a 30.61 on 4. (very respectable!) This teams took home $4000 and two beautiful Trophy Fear Not Saddles. Second place was Bill Crowell and Heath Berryman trailing by just some shy of 7 seconds. Seconds purse was $3000 and two trophy buckles. Prizes and money went through 6th. Next we went into the #8 pt. Having a few over 1000 this was progressive on 1 three head. Winning first was Bart Stallings and Sheriff Bill Ferrell with a 23.84 on three. The ole Sheriff roped up winning 1st, 9th, 10th and 11th! First was awarded $4200 and two trophy Fear Not Saddles. Saddles went through 5th place! If you haven’t seen our new saddles they are really nice this year! Something you would be very proud to ride. Great quality is what we protray from our prizes to the production of our ropings! So if you want to win quality prizes and attend a great ran ropings then look at our upcoming ropings this year. Next we will be in Meredian Ms with a #10 & #8pt on April 23rd &24th. This arena is located off I-20 exit 154A from the east and exit 157A from the west. We are awarding a total of $3000 in high point cash prizes in the #10 and #8. Also 12 saddles, 10 knives, 10 buckles, 10 rope bags and lots of cash will awarded through out the weekend. Also we will award 30 shootouts in each roping. As I close lets take a close look at a very important word… “OVERCOMING.” In the next bit here you will see how important to your life that we overcome because Jesus overcame! A few scriptures in the bible that I want to share are as follows Rev 3:21, “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my father on his throne.” Then in 1John 5:4 it says, “for everyone born of God overcomes the world.” then in verse 5 it says “Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” First of all this world is tough. Satan and his followers are seeking to kill, steal and destroy you and those you love. He puts us against each other to make us think the enemy is human. But this is not so. We must first realize that the enemy is Satan and Satan only. Take a second to ponder a problem in your life. You may be upset with a family member or maybe your boss maybe you have lost your job or a loved one and you are mad at God. I want you now to realize that Satan is behind this scheme and that is who you are to be upset with. Now an important scripture in the bible is John 15:33, “In this world you will have trouble (Satan‘s scheme‘s). But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Wow! Jesus has put Satan in his place and overcome him therefore if you have Jesus in your heart he has given you the power be an overcomer! And if you are successful in this you will be with him in heaven for eternity! I have thought a lot about heaven lately after the loss of a loved one. And as I read God’s word about heaven I know that we can not fathom how awesome it will be. Let your site be on heaven this will help you to OVERCOME!
